This New Series began with a celebration of the Philippines ‘unofficial’ National dish – ADOBO presented by Anna Manlulo. We learnt how easy it is to make your own Adobo at home! Set over two Workshop sessions on the 29th of February 2020, we experienced four different Adobo versions, heard lots of tips and tricks about the basics of Adobo, with an Interactive Q&A while sampling all the freshly made dishes cooked. All the ingredients for the cooking workshop was sourced locally through Paddy’s Haymarket producers. Held in the newly installed Paddy’s Kitchen at Haymarket, recipe cards for each of the dishes cooked were provided. #sahogffma #sahoginsydney #sahoginaustralia #sahogfilofomo

WHAT IS PHILIPPINE ADOBO?

Philippine Adobo (from Spanish adobar: "marinade,""sauce" or "seasoning") is a popular Filipino dish and cooking process in Philippine cuisine that involves meat, seafood, or vegetables marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and black peppercorns, which is browned in oil, and simmered in the marinade. It has occasionally been considered the unofficial national dish in the Philippines
